Return to the Backyard

The weather was beautiful in Brussels last week, which resulted in the first usage of our backyard space since winter. Children at our school enjoyed being outside for everything from language classes, to snack time, to breaks between classes. Here are pictures from some of the fun and activities:

We make an effort to celebrate the birthdays of our students – which leads to no shortage of celebrations! These are some of the birthdays during the first couple of weeks of March. Happy Birthday everyone!

When the lights go out

There was a power outage in our neighborhood on Friday, but luckily we had plenty of candles on hand. The students had fun having class and snack time by candlelight!

Vita Nova: A new exposition by Antone Israel

Antone Israel, the teacher of our filmmaking class, has a new exhibit showing at L’Orangerie in Bastogne. It opened yesterday, and runs through April 8, 2012. He’s an amazing artist, so be sure to check it out!
